Why "Trimona"?

The founder of our company was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria - a crossroad of many ethnic cultures and religions - a city older than the oldest cities in the world - Rome, Athens, Constantinople, and Troy. Trimona is short for Trimontium (one of the old names of Plovdiv) and a nickname of a hotel-restaurant which has become a symbol of the city.

Trimona Foods Inc. was founded in New York due to a high demand of traditional Bulgarian meat products that were not available on the market.

Following the tradition in recipes of the founder’s grandfather Atanas who was awarded a certificate of butchering in Plovdiv back in 1940 Trimona Foods continues to expand its product line with proven high quality and taste including "Lukanka", "Soudjuk", "Kebapcheta", "Karnacheta", "Kiufteta" etc.

Our ground meat products are positioned at the high end of the market in terms of both quality and price. All of them are made fresh from 100% natural ingredients and delivered fresh to your door in stay-fresh packaging. Our dry cured sausages and salami are vacuum sealed to ensure long shelf life. The ingredients are mixed with spices and curing materials, stuffed into casings, and put through a carefully controlled, long, continuous air-drying process.

The superb combination of first quality meat and spices and less sour flavor creates smooth and rich taste in each sausage, for every occasion.
